Halloween 2016 isn’t too far away, and everyone is already picking out Halloween costumes for their kids – but what about your cats? Pet costumes, especially cat costumes are tricky, because our fuzzy family members are usually not thrilled with a lot of hoopla, and the last thing they want to do is rock an 8 piece costume on Halloween. We put together a list of DIY cat Halloween costumes that will be easy on you and your pet, but also super cute!
Santa Claus
If you have a small child-sized Santa Claus hat lying around, you can easily transform it in to a costume for your cat on Halloween. Obviously your pet isn’t going to keep the hat on, but you can easily add some sort of ribbon or elastic string to go under your cat’s chin to keep the hat on for longer.
A King Or Queen
If you treat your cat like royalty, then it seems fitting that they would be a King Or Queen this Halloween. Some construction paper or poster board can easily double as a crown – if you are feeling extra creative you could even decorate it with some glue-on gems, glitter, beads, or anything else that you have lying around the house.
A Baby
Nothing is cuter than a baby, except for maybe your cat dressed as a baby! An old newborn set onesie or set of pajamas will fit most cats perfectly, just cut out a hole for their tail to make them a little more comfortable. If you have a tiny bib or bonnet to add to the ensemble, feel free to do so! Just keep in mind that you want the costume to be form-fitting so that your fuzzy pet doesn’t get anything caught around the house.
A Clown
An old birthday hat with the elastic string still in tact would make a perfect clown hat for your cat this Halloween. If you happen to have a red bowtie lying around, that would also add some fun to your cat’s clown costume. You could also use some red fabric to tie around his neck.

I do not dress my Cats as I respect them as animals and Pets. They stay the way they are…….What a lot of nonsense to dress, to dye and so and so…….Shame on you !
